Pepper was a male golden retriever born in California on 07/20/2016. He passed away on 01/28/2022 due to massive Hemangiosarcoma. Pepper brought countless happiness to my family during his five-and-half years of life, short but full of love.
Pepper was the strongest male among his brothers. He joined my family on 09/20/2016. Since then, he became one of the most important parts of our lives. Pepper was super smart. He could learn every command within several minutes. He smiles a lot, runs a lot, eats a lot, and poops a lot of courses.
Pepper was about 85 lbs and very strong. He used to become excited very easily. However, after my daughter was born, he became a real angel. He was so gentle and calm if my daughter was around. He was with my daughter almost all the time. They became best friends of each other. I still remember the first time my daughter went to daycare. Pepper became so sad all day and thought we lost my daughter. He was so happy when seeing my daughter back home.
After the Pandemic, we started working from home and homeschooling for a year. We could spend much more time with Pepper. Because of Pepper, we had less pressure and the kid had more fun during this special time. We did a lot of things and played a lot of games together. I could feel happiness of Pepper.
After the new year of 2022, Pepper had diarrhea for a week. I took him to the vet and had exams including poop and blood tests. The vet didn’t find anything wrong. We were sent back home with some antibiotics. After 14 days of treatment, diarrhea went away. However, I noticed Pepper stopped eating several days later. I bought some wet food and Pepper began to eat again. On 01/28/2022, Pepper fell during a walk. We went to the regional hospital immediately. Pepper was diagnosed to be in the very late stage with Hemangiosarcoma. Some tumor broke and his belly is full of blood. We tried to do surgery to save Pepper but I lost him forever at last.
Words simply cannot tell how much I love Pepper. There aren’t enough words in the world to express my feelings, so I will just say: I Love You, Pepper! I will remember you forever!
